At the end of the movie, the Saints kill the leader of the Italian mafia. They carry it out with the help of the FBI, and they inform everybody in the courtroom of their mission. They are not asking for the poor. All they want are the corrupt people in society. They believe that the corrupt people in society do not deserve to live. I believe that this can be a very effective punishment for severe crimes, as long as it is carried out the right way. The Boondock Saints proposes a very effective idea for minimizing the crime and governmental spending for criminals in our country.
