Lowering the drinking age has been a topic of discussion ever since the legal age was increased to 21. One of the main goals of increasing the drinking age was to save peoples lives. I believe that if the age was lowered to 18 people would learn how to drink responsible which could save even more lives. The US has one of the highest legal drinking ages in the world yet we have more drinking problems then a lot of other countries. If we were able to lower the drinking age then people would not abuse alcohol as much and then number of alcohol related accidents would decrease along with the number of alcohol related problems.
