How to prepare for partying at PSU(Girls Version)
1. Shower. Take your time here, get clean and shaven-No one wants to dance with the smelly girl.
2. Style your hair. Pretty hair is essential. Whether it's blow dried, straightened, curled, left down or up, your hair should look nice.
3. Next, pick out your outfit. Style and coordination is crucial. Be sensible when picking out your outfit- dress according to where you are headed. Pretty shoes are very important, but make sure they match your outfit. Check the weather channel in case a jacket is needed-nights get cold.
4. If you do wear make up, do your make up now, before you are dressed. Be careful how much make up you wear, no one wants to look like a hooker.
5. Put your outfit on. Make sure your ensemble matches and has style.
6. Choose jewelry. Again, be sure to coordinate with your outfit. Typically, one piece(necklace, earring, bracelet) is a good guidline(you don't want to be too gaudy).
6. Apply deodorant and perfume(moderation is key).
7. Pick out your purse. Typically small purses work for the essentials(keys, gum, cell phone, etc.). Again, coordination is very important.
8. You're all set! Now get out there and have some fun!
Tips:
1. Always eat before going out-drinking on an empty stomach is never a good idea.
2. If possible, get a second opinion on your outfit. Sometimes a different point of view is just what the doctor ordered.
3. It is usually a good idea to bring flip flops along in your purse for the walk home. Wearing pretty shoes is tough.
4. Be sure to charge your cell phone!

I settled on a picture of snow. I chose it because I really like snow-I mean, I don't like the cold, unless it's snowing. It's just that the snow is so pretty to look at, and even more fun to play in. You can make snow angels or snow men, you can go snow boarding or sledding(I've never been snow boarding, but I would love to go. Though I'm not sure how good I'd be, I'm not very graceful). Also, I feel I have a lot of good childhood memories playing in the snow with my three brothers and the neighbors. I loved getting off school for snow days and spending the whole day sledding and making snow men, and then coming inside for hot chocolate and movies. In fact, I was born in the middle of a blizzard(which might be the reason I like snow so much, who knows). I also like snow because it comes at my favorite time of year, and is associated with Christmas, a time when everyone is happy and friendly.

Giving blood is such a good way to give to the community-and apparently Penn State gives a lot, because I see signs for donating everytime i turn my head. But seriously, blood donation is a true way to give(as apposed to monetary donation, though volunteering is a very progressive form as well, but that's a different topic for a different blog), and it's relatively simple. I once donated blood, which for me was a very big deal. I mean, really, traumatizing. Not that it even hurt, just the anxiety I worked up thinking about it because I'm terrified of needles(really, I would be the worst heroine addict). But, anyways, I think I'm going to donate again, because it's worth it, I mean it really makes you feel good to know that you're making a difference in the life of someone else. And blood is a simple gift to give, but it will make a world of difference when someone needs it. So donate! I'm working up my courage to go, maybe sometime next week, so if you'd like to go with me im me: colleenacolada.
I agree. People should give blood whenever possible. I do. And afterwards you feel good, not just because its satisfying (which by the way you could because giving blood is a good thing and it saves lives), but you really feel good, physically, after you do. Oh and I'm sorry but i can't give again until November 7 (I just gave like two weeks ago). -ElwoodBlues

I think I'll start wearing a fanny pack. No, not as a fashion statement. The fact is: I lose things. When I'm drunk, when I'm sober, I just lose things like there is no tomorrow. I mean, I'd actually lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body. On Sunday, I lost 20 bucks. 20 bucks! 20 bucks to me is like, it's like a house to someone who lives in New Orleans(sorry I've been watching the news alot). Last night, I lost my cell phone. How? I'll never know. Hopefully, one day I'll find it. But until then, I'm gonna go nap away my hang over.

Well, I guess were supposed to bring in our favorite song tomorrow. I'm not sure I can choose. I mean, I listen to mostly everything(well, except that screamer music-it kind of scares plus, how can they do that?dont their voices get scratchy?)...I was brought up listening to the Stones, BTO, Bob Dylan, Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, petty, The Beatles and that whole generation. But as I matured I've gone through stages...there was the pop stage-Backstreet Boys, Nsync, the boy bands...then there was the spice girls, that was more like an era though...Then it was all about Blink-What's my age again?. Around 9th or 10th grade I went on a dashboard/good charlotte kick, and every since it's been good ole' country. But I think I've still maintained a little love for all the genres(maybe not the boybands or the spice girls) through each of my eras-certainly everything classic rock. billy joel is amazing, I love him, he might be my favorite artist of all time-him or tom petty; the stones, springsteen, bto, they're all amazing. And I absolutely love yellowcard, coldplay, JOHN MAYER, goooogoooodollss!, they all rock. Then there's theres the country music I know and love--Toby keeeiith!(lovvve him), tim mcgraw, johnnnyy cassh(the man in black), kenny rogers, rascal flatts, I love them all.
Maybe I'll pick something like.. Billy Joel-Honesty or She's Always a woman, or maybe something yellowcard. or i could do the What happens down in mexico by toby keith. oh I don't know..I'll never choose....

Okay, sooo, I still don't really know a thing about the wiki-thing...but I'm getting used to it...The only semi-problem I have is that I think I was suposed to get a liscense thinngerr??Yes? No? Maybe so? I'm not that worried about people using my work, I actually don't care at all...But if you know I'm supposed to do it, and how to explain it to me, that would be aweesomee, because let's face it..I could use all the help I can get..

Today I switched up my order-don't be too shocked, I'll just be writing in chronological order now, instead of the other way around...That said...
I must admit, last week against the Falcons, I cried from embarassment. But yesterday, yesterday was redemtion day. Yes, it's true, the niners suck, but still, the stats don't lie. 42-3; 28-0 at the half! ...Yesterday, was everyones day. McNabb threw for 5 tds-four of which were before halfway through the second quarter. We saw him rolling to the pocket, we saw him scrambling, and we saw him throwing on the run(which may I say is one of his stronger points). He completed 23 of 29 for 342 yards(not to mention the fact that he only played 3 quarters!). He had a handful of receivers to choose from yesterday too...T.O., who had 5 or so receptions for 2 touchdowns(horray! hopefully everything's behind them nooww)..L.J. Smith, who I thought really played to his potential yesterday, which you didn't see the first game. And, we had Westbrook running plays as well, it was incredible...Then, there was our amaazing defense, who has only allowed 17 points in the past 2 games! First of all, B. Dawk is the man. Then we got a multi-talented linebacker, mark simenou(is that spelled right?...maybe) who apparently can kick feild goals now-who kneww?? Well, all I know, is i can sleep well at night knowing the Eagles are back on track to the superbowl. Here we come Randy Moss and the Raiders.
P.S. ....My only main concern is that we just may need a new kicker...Despite the trainer's diagnosis of a minor hamstring sprain, I'm concerned. He's quite an accomplished veteran-anyone will attest that-and these past two weeks haven't shown near what he is capable of, and down the road, you cannot win the superbowl with your linebackers kicking feild goals.....But I guess we'll see....

Well, I guess I should start by introducing myself. My name is Colleen, and I am a Freshman here at Penn State, and I love it-football is incredible, classes are great, and the parties are better! I'm not sure why I chose the name Mike Jones, it just makes me laugh. I'd like to major in International Studies and Law or somewhere along the lines. I come from a very hick town In Lancaster County where everyone knows everyone, and it's painful to admit, but I do miss it a little. I have three brothers and the best parents you could ask for. I'm a huge football fan, I LOVE the E-A-G-L-E-S and I am sooo excited for the season to start! I am chronically obsessed with the OC, I'm convinced it's the greatest show on earth. I like to believe that people are generally good-hearted, and I hate to be cliche but I like to look at the glass as half-full. I listen to an array of different music: Blink 182, I love country, everything Billy Joel, Coldplay, Yellowcard, ETC. I love to read, run(I used to be on the cross country team), party, laugh, be sarcastic, shop, play lacrosse, ETC. Basically that's me in a nutshell, thats all for now folks!
Glad to see there is some more support for the Eagles...I felt like I was all alone in that one.-Veritas

So, it's four years since 9/11 and I'm getting depressed because of how easy it is to forget. Not to say that we should continue to harp on the events of the day, but today as I was procrastinating and channel surfing, I was a bit upset to find that there was nothing on about 9/11-until I finally started my homework and saw the picture on the wiki home page. And maybe it was the time of day and the specials had just ended, but I expected to see a bit more coverage on it. I mean, each year millions of Americans turn on their tvs and sit in front of the tv watching the grammys-this actual happens annually. I just feel that sometimes we lose focus on what is really important. I mean, I have to admit I'm guilty of it too, but Americans are obsessed with celebrity gossip. It was amazing after the attacks to see the whole country unite, people donating blood, money, everything they had to help the cause, and now it seems everyone is so preoccupied, that we've forgotten. It's just sad to see Americans back in their self-absored, busy, apathetic lifestyles. But at the same time, maybe we just have other things on our minds, maybe I'm over reacting, maybe it is time to get over it, who knows.

Basically, I no longer have any idea what I want to do with my life. And suddenly, it kind of matters. I used to want to teach, but then I wasn't so sure, as patience is not my best quality. Then, I thought I wanted to be a trauma surgeon, which I would still persue, despite my incompetence in Math and Science, which could be a slight problem, not to mention 5 million years of school. So that idea gets tossed. After that, it was law. I love to argue and even joined the mock trial team, but somehow, that, too, flopped. So, then I realized that I really like languages-I'd taken 4 years of Spanish already, and am planning on taking on French. So, I thought maybe a career in International Business would be a good idea. Well, now we're back to the fact that I'm less than math-saavy. So maybe Internationl Relations or Interpreting. But I'm not so sure I'm cut out for it. So now I'm re-evaluating things, and I realize that I'm back to teaching, only we've got the patience thing again. Is this some vicious cycle-or is it possible that one day I will make up my mind? I guess only time will tell.

Let me tell you, I have the craziest family on Earth. It's really uncontestable. You could try and present an argument, but really, they are crazy. I could tell you stories, and I might later in other blogs, but right now I'd just like to introduce them. First, and foremost, theres my Grandmother. No, she does not knit. No, she does not cook. No, she does not do tea. Instead, she does beer and football. And lots of both. Oh, and baseball. Oh does she love the Phillies. Do they choke more than the Eagles? Maybe, but that's a different topic for a different day. Anyhow...my Grandmother is wild, and crazy, and so fun to be around. Really, I think she could keep up with any college kid on campus. She drinks, she watches football, baseball, the whole she-bangs. Not your typical Grandmother. Then there's my incredible, yet overprotective, neurotic mother. She really is the sweetest person in the world. The most important thing in her life is her family, and God, would she do anything for any of us. I've never seen such a selfless person in the entire world. Then, there's my dad. Ooohhh, Jude Oniskey. And is he quite a character. He is the quintessential example of the obnoxious Eagles fan: does the chant, hates the steelers and the cowboys, loves to party, he even rocks tatoos(only temporaries, haha, he's not quite that tough), and makes the green "Eagle punch," (his secret ingredient for game day). And yet this die-hard Eagles fanatic still finds time to cook dinner(impressively might I add), go to work, tend to his garden, and throw with my little brother in the back yard.
And last, but not least, my brothers: Ryan, Gregory, and Jonathan. They are so fun and for the record, I love them to death. To start, we have Ryan 20 years old and one of the biggest influences in my life. As a youngster, he was hands down, the coolest kid on the block. For the first few years of my life, it was him and me against the world. And now, I still go to him for advice, on everything from boys to sports to clothes. Then theres his girlfriend, who has quickly become a part of the family. Amanda-she is sooo gorgeous-I swear she might be the sweetest girl in the world, and SO fun to party with. She is so cute and Ryan had better marry her, because I love her more than anything. Honestly, I don't know how my brothers got the girlfriends they did-because I swear to God, they are the best girls ever, and I love them soo much. Plus, they are so good to go shopping with. Next, we have Gregory, one of my best friends and comrades in crime. The kid is no angel, but I swear, he is piss your pants funny. Somehow, trouble always seems to find him, but yet he has managed to get himself the prettiest, sweetest, smartest girl ever. She is so sweet, and I'm pretty sure she is the sister I've never had but always wanted, along with Amanda. And if he doesn't marry the girl, I don't know what I will do. I honestly love her to death. And then we have the youngest-Jonathan. The kid is a pure genius. Honestly, I wish I had his brains, he could do anything he wanted, and I'm so jealous. Right now, he's in 8th grade, and all the girls want him. He's very handsome, like the 8th grade hottie. I'm looking forward to seeing who he dates in high school, because this kid is a P.I.M.P. He honestly gets more phone calls from girls than I've seen a lot of my guy friends get. It's actually quite impressive.
Well, that would be my wonderful, wild family. And maybe later you will hear some crazy stories about them....

The OC was incredible again tonight!! I love Mischa Barton, she is soo cuute! And for any of you who watch The OC, I was so glad Ryan hit the dean! He was being such an asshole. Also, I think Seth Cohen is such a babe!!! But that's besides the fact... Who is that chick that is making Kristen live with herr???? And I'm pretty sure that girl that wants to take over as Circus Chair probably called the dean. I actually wouldn't be too surprised if that was her dad-Would you? On a side note, I hate Julie Cooper, she is such a slut, but what's with Jimmy this season? He seems a little shady to me to say the least. Well, for next week, I'm hoping Summer steps up and kicks that girls pretty little tush. Then, she can get kicked out too! And maybe in a couple of weeks, they'll all be at a different school! (Sorry for anyone that hates the OC, I looovee it!! and I will probably write about it every thursday) :)

I love blogging. It's probably one of my favorite things to do now, I think I'm addicted actually. I always liked to write but now I mean, this has become my little online journal or something. And it's such a good idea to get kids writing everyday, because we need to learn to write. Anyhow, so today was the first day I went to the gym since I've been up at PSU. And I would just like to mention I love exercise. I just makes you feel so good-it makes you happier, more energized, awake, I just love it. And the facilities here are just incredible. Well, I guess that is to be expected, as it's such a big school, and I'm sure there are butt loads of athletes that need to work out. But I just love it, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be at the gym everyday at least, so if anyone wants to run or lift with me, feel free to let me know!
