Doing well in this class is not hard at all if you do just a few simple things. The first is a pain, but not that bad. Just keep up with your blogs. It only takes a few minutes and will save you a lot fo time in the long run. Also, go to class. It's not far, and not bad at all. You usually just talk about cool stuff, like shark vs bear. Lastly, write your papers early and get help if you feel you need it. This is the most important. These random papers make up half of your grade, so take them seriously. If you aren't sure about how you did on a paper, or if you wrote a good conclusion, simply ask for help. He's very willing to help you with your papers. Good luck.

I feel so much better today than I have recently. All I have to worry about for the rest of the year is my paper and studying for 2 finals. Not too bad. My paper should be totally done by tonight and I will have 3 straight days for final studying. I only have one class on Friday too. I feel pretty relaxed compared to my usual and it's nice. We're supposed to get 9-12 inches of snow tonight and I'm hoping for a massive storm. We'll see what happens. Have a great week.

It's 9 o clock on Tuesday and I'm blogging already. I was only scheduled to have one class today and I'm skipping it. I have way too much work to do. Between my paper for this class, projects, and studying for exams, I'm swamped. Hopefully I will be able to finish the rough draft of my paper today so I'll have time to work on it and fix it up before the due date. I'm going to try my best to stay focused. I hope everyone else has a good day.

Football Saturday. I'm pumped. The USC game is just about to start and I have to say that I have a good feeling about the game. I know the other week I said that I felt like USC couldn't lose. I am officially changing my feelings. Well see what happens, but I have good feelings about today's game.
As for homework, I have massive amounts and I should do my paper too. I'm gonna try to work on that this weekend too. The game is about to start. Yay, I can't wait.

Holy crap. It's December. Wow. Skiiing soon. I can not wait. I've skid a few times so far this year. Only just sessioning on rails though. I miss actual downhill skiing. Going fast, hitting jumps. I miss it so much. I can't wait for break to be here. I can't wait to have a lot of time off with nothing at all to worry about. I've been so stressed out with all my work lately and it's just getting kind of old. The time off will be really nice. It will also give me some time to regroup. It also lets me start fresh next semester. I can't wait for that either. I clean slate is going to be amazing.

Today I sat for 4 hours and watched the extended version of the third Lord Of the Rings. That movie is hardcore. Anyway, I pretty much wasted my day and didn't start and of the work that I should've started. I have so much stuff to do for the end of the semester that I should start. I took my Chem 14 final exam today so at least I have that out of the way. I studied a lot and think I did fairly well. Anyway, now I'm getting ready to start my work for tomorrow and all I can think about is the kids singing in my hallway. I mean, it's HORRENDOUS. These kids CAN NOT sing. Currently, our foreign RA is doing his very best to sing Love Shack. It can be quite entertaining at times, but sometimes I just want to get some work done! Yay college!

So, it's Thanksgiving and I'm sitting at my desk. I figured I'd blog today because I didn't have time on Tuesday before I left for break. Anyway, today we had family come over and we ate at 1 and socialized until 8 o clock. I'm full and I'm all "socialized-out", I guess you could say. I feel like I need to get out of my house for a little. It's been such a boring day. I just made a list of all the work I put off for this break. It's a long list. Don't you just hate how 5 days seems like such a long time until you're half way through the break and you actually begin to look at all your work...? Anyway, I'm kind of overwhelmed. Oh ya, and tomorrow is pretty much my favorite day of the year!!!!! I get to put up Christmas decorations!!!! (I hope you can sense the sarcasm in my voice.) I hate putting up decorations, and fake trees! yay! Haha. I'm sorry I'm in such a bad mood. It's Thanksgiving, I should be happy. Anyway, sorry if I've depressed anyone. I'll feel better tomorrow. Hope you all had a better day than I did.
On a happier note, I got to ski yesterday! Check it out if you want.

I feel so good right now. The first day of a two day week is over and I have just a few more classes to go before break. I am so anxious to go home. I'm looking forward to 5 days of no classes, and just skiing and hanging out with my friends and family. I can't wait for Thanksgiving dinner either. I love turkey and gravy. I really dont' feel like blogging today, so I think I'm gonna keep it short. Anyway, I'll see a few of you in class tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great break.

Penn State looked horrendous yesterday. At least we got the win though. What a season it has been! So, last night I was in bed around midnight. I wake up around 2 AM to 10 people screaming their lungs out in the room beside me. I mean, they were loud. A girl even came up from the 4th floor because she thought there was a fight or that someone was having a heart attack (seriously). Anyway, I wake up to this screaming and my roommate tells me that USC is losing. That meant we could go to the Roxe Bowl. Of course, I got out of bed and went over to the loud room to watch the game. After seeing USC win the game, I realized something. I believe that it's God's plan for USC to NEVER lose a game...ever again. I'm pretty sure.

I feel so good right now. The weekend just started, and most of my work was due last week. I had 2 exams recently so I am just kind of caught up with everything. I have a little bit of work to do this weekend, but nothing I'm worried about. I plan on working on some stuff for the end of the semester, but I don't even have to worry about that very much because Thanksgiving break is quickly approaching. I'll probalby spend the weekend cleaning my room and watching football. I haven't been this free for quite a while. It's nice. Hope everyone has a great weekend as well.

Tonight was such a crazy night. I have a chemistry exam tomorrow so I was planning on studying all night. I was also planning on scheduling my classes at midnight tonight. As it turned out, after much trouble with finding available courses, i realized that there was one class i needed to be in for Math 141. There was only one seat left. I was paranoid and tried to get someone that could hold the class for me. No one's schedules worked though. So, at 12 o clock, after continuous refreshing of the page and quick pasting and clicking, I got the course I needed. THis was literally one second before the crashing of Elion. Anyway, I was so busy with all that that i didn't have a chance to study for Chem. I guess that's what ill be doing tomorrow.

I seem to have this problem with getting addicted to beverages. Not even alcoholic beverages, just regular ones. I drink ungodly amounts of Mountain Dew per day. Before I came to Penn State I would drink over 2 liters of Mountain Dew and anywhere from 40-80 oz of Coke Slushie per day. This was every day too. Since I got to PSU, I still drink maybe 5 cans of Mountain Dew a day, however, I haven't have a slushie in months. Recently, I've been drinking the mango melon flavored
SoBe. I tried it the other day and it was amazing. Whether it's the great taste, or just the attractive glass bottle, I think that
SoBe might be my next drink of choice.

As much as I love Penn State, I’m ready to go home for a while. I’m getting tired of the routine of college and all the work that’s involved. I could definitely use a few days at home. I know that I’ll be ready to come back after about 2 days, cause I love this place so much. I'm so happy that there is only one week left until we get to go home for a few days for Thanksgiving. I can't wait. I just need a break.

I was talking to my roommate about this earlier. It was just kind of one of my random thoughts. I thought I’d share. Anyway, I was thinking about modern technology. If you sit back and look at the computer you’re reading this on, you should be impressed. I’m working on my laptop right now. The fact that I can type this blog, listen to music, surf billions of webpages(with seemingly endless access to information), and communicate instantly with friends that I haven’t seen for months at the same time is amazing to me. This technology couldn’t have been imagined a few years ago. It’s also crazy to think about the technology we will have in 20 years from now.

In class today we talked more about the speech that we’re going to have to do for our proposals. I am not looking forward to this at all. It’s not that big of a deal I don’t think, though. It’s going to depend on the first few people to go. If everyone does large amounts of prepping and slides and visual aids, it could create a lot of work. I’m hoping for a nice, laid back discussion of my article. We’ll see how things work out.

Today was a great day. I didn’t have any classes other than my Chemistry Lab (which sucked as much as usual). The good thing about lab today was that it was my last one. I finished my 10 page paper early this morning. It took me a total of 7 ish hours. After lab this afternoon, I went and played Dodgeball with our friends at the top secret location. It was so much fun because all the stress of Chemistry was over and I just got to have a little fun.

First of all, I need to brag a little cause I’m so impressed with myself. You all probably won’t believe me either. Anyway on Friday, the day before the game, I told my girlfriend that I had a feeling that the final score to the game was going to be 35-14 Penn State. I forgot about this prediction until about 3 minutes left in the game on Saturday. It was then that I remembered the prediction. It was crazy. And if you don’t believe me, talk to my girlfriend.
Also, I’m so overwhelmed right now. Just as I had predicted, I didn’t start my Chemistry paper this weekend. I was too busy doing all my other work. It’s amazing how it seems to build and build and then when you do it, the time just flies by. Anyway, I have a 10 page paper on water hardness due tomorrow. I have all my data tables and graphs completed; however, I still need to write the actual paper. Shouldn’t take me that long, but we’ll see. Wish me luck!

I’m so pumped for the game tomorrow. This weekend is gonna be crazy for me. I have so much work to do in addition to tailgating and going to the game on Saturday. It should be fun but busy. I should probably start my 10 page Chemistry paper due on Tuesday. Probably won’t happen, but I’m going to try. Have a great weekend everyone. GO PSU!

I was watching TV today for a little. This is something that I rarely do since I came to Penn State. Anyway, I saw this commercial for another one of those ridiculous Disney Movies. I don’t remember exactly what movie the commercial was for, but it got me thinking. Who would want to watch these movies? The Rookie, Remember the Titans, Miracle, Seabiscuit. Does Disney only make predictable, inspirational movies? I can’t imagine that this type of movie continues to make money, but I guess it must considering they just keep producing them.

Ya, so. I just got back from the commons, where I was checking my mailbox. Of course, my roommate got tons of mail: cards, letters, packages, and I got nothing. I haven’t received one package since I got up here. I don’t think it’s that my parents don’t care, or don’t love me. I just think that they spent all their package-sending-energy on my older brother. He was a freshman last year and they sent him packages often. I think that it’s just not as new to them now, so they don’t bother. It’s cool. I don’t really mind.

This is amazing. It's November already. That makes me so happy to hear. Every year, I count down the months unti winter. This year has been flying by: especially this semester. It's amazing. My workload is starting to get crazy though. I have the 10-12 page project due for this class, a 6-10 page paper on water hardness due for Chem 14, a project in my Engineering Drafting class, Chem 12 and Calc Exams all in addition to my other work. I need to stay focused as this semester comes to an end. I can't wait until Christmas break, when we won't have anything to worry about because the semester has ended. That will be a good day.

Class on Friday was impressive. I thought that after entering college, the days of watching movies and TV during class were over. I was wrong. Spending the period watching the Simpsons and eating candy was decent. As far as the Simpsons goes…that is one quality show. The Halloween episodes aren’t scary at all, but I think that they aren’t really meant to be. First of all, how scary can you make a cartoon where the characters are yellow and have 4 fingers. It makes it hard to take seriously. Also, I think that they just make Halloween episodes to entertain us, and to be relevant to the time of year, not to scare us. Overall, Friday was fun and I think we should watch the Simpsons more often.

I was kind of bored all day today. Boredom tends to happen to me sometimes here. Sometimes when I don’t have any work to do, and it’s the afternoon, I just can’t find anything to do. Most of the kids from the dorms are still in class and there’s just kind of nothingness. Anyway, I was really bored this afternoon. Tonight was fun though. My girlfriend and I had our first official date I guess. We’ve been going out for about a month now, but haven’t gone on any actual dates. Anyway, we went to Starbucks and to see Saw II. Good movie. It wasn’t what I was expecting though. The only other scary movie I’ve seen was Amityville Horror. That movie was horrendously scary. I was expecting the same out of Saw II. As it turned out, Saw II wasn’t really scary at all. Despite tons of killing and gore, the movie failed to scare me. It was a great movie, don’t get me wrong. I recommend it to everyone. It was amazing, but only in an action/thinking movie kind of way. It’s hard to explain. It’s a great movie, just not in the same way as Amityville. Go see it though.

I just got the single most amazing news that I’ve gotten in a very long time. One of my favorite underground rap bands (yes, I do listen to underground rap sometimes) is coming to the Crowbar. On Sunday, November 6, Zion I and Blackalicious are coming to the Crowbar. It should be such a good show. I hear that Zion I is amazing live and I can’t wait to go. I really hope there is going to be crowd surfing, although I’m kind of doubting it. I’ve never been to a rap concert before so I’m not really sure what exactly to expect. It shouldn’t be that gangster though…at least, not 8 Mile material.
Wed, Oct 26
Wow. Snow yesterday. I would’ve never predicted that. I don’t think that I have ever seen snow that early in the season…ever. I was expecting mostly rain and crap. I was surprised though. Most of the day, it snowed pretty hardcore. The flakes were big and really laid. This snow wasn’t really useful for having fun or anything, but it did make me miss snow. I hope that this year, we get a massive storm. I’m talking like, 3-5 feet of snow. That would be so amazing. I can’t wait for winter so I can go skiing. Have a great day everyone.

My initial reaction to this poem is confusion. The verses are choppy and seem somewhat unorganized. But as I look farther into the poem I’ve noticed several things. Each first line is 3 words and each second line is 1 word. It appears to be organized into 4 stanzas. They talk mainly about a wheel barrow. It is mentioned to be very important and that many things depend on that wheelbarrow. It’s obviously currently outside in the rain. The chickens give the reader information on the environment and the setting of the poem. It appears that the wheelbarrow might be on a farm or something similar to a farm because the wheel barrow helps with the work.

This weekend was so much fun. Abi came home with me and we got to spend the weekend together. Friday night we went to a football game for my high school. We got stomped pretty badly but I don’t really mind. I really have no emotional attachment to that school at all… Anyway, Saturday and Sunday were pretty much ski days mixed with some other stuff. Saturday was rainy and gross but we still got plenty of skiing in. Sunday was beautiful. We skid at Roundtop and the setup was beautiful. I was kind of disappointed though with Sunday. There were over 100 competitors there and that meant that each rider had fewer runs. I was only able to hit the rail 4 times in the 6 hours I was there. It was still fun though. It’s amazing to me how much fun just being there can be. The environment at an event like that is indescribable. Here is video from Sunday in case anyone is interested.
